RDA declares Al-Moqeet City Phase-I housing scheme illegal

Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has declared Al-Moqeet City, Phase-I Chakri Road as an illegal project and issued a notice to its owner to stop advertisements and development work.

According to Director Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE), RDA Jamshaid Aftab, the advertisement of Al-Moqeet City project are illegal and unauthorized.

The owner of the society has been warned that if the development work and advertisements are not stopped immediately, the Authority would seal the site office of the scheme.

RDA has also advised the general public in their own interest to not invest in any illegal/unauthorized Housing Scheme.

RDA spokesman Hafiz Muhammad Irfan said the Director General (DG) RDA, Rana Akbar Hayat had directed the MP&TE Directorate to take strict action against illegal/unauthorized commercial and residential construction activities, illegal booking offices and encroachments without any discrimination.
