Punjab to launch crackdown against artificial inflation

March 27, 2019: A Provincial Cabinet Committee meeting of price control was held in Lahore yesterday with Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal in chair.

During the meeting, it was decided to start crackdown against hoarders and those people who created artificial inflation. Addressing the meeting, the minister directed concerned officials to be alert for making stability in prices of goods.

He said that no compromise will be made on inflation in basic necessities of goods. He regretted that previous subsidy was used for political purpose.

The minister said that government is making arrangement for provision of subsidy to only deserving people.
