Punjab government employees await salary increment notification

Discomfort is increasing in government employees as Punjab government has not yet issued notification pertaining to hike in salaries for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017-18.

Punjab government has hiked salaries by 10 percent in current budget.

Contrary to that, federation has issued notification pertaining to salary increase on July-3.

Sources informed our correspondent that Punjab's finance ministry has not yet forwarded draft to Punjab Chief Minister regarding hike in salary.
