PSX to take disciplinary measures against usage of Blank Sale window for DFC transactions

April 30, 2019 (MLN): Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) recently expressed discontentment over usage of F8 window, which is especially designated in the trading system for Blank sale, by brokers for executing sale transactions in Deliverable Futures Contract (DFC) market, despite owning securities or having pre-existing interest.

In a notice given out to market participants on Tuesday, PSX stated that if such mistakes, if inadvertent, are not modified through sale modification interface provided in trading system, it will be considered a violation of PSX Regulations.

The notice further stated that PSX is carrying out thematic inspections to assess compliance with the regulatory requirements and in case of observance of any non-compliance, the Exchange shall take disciplinary actions as per relevant regulations.
