PSX investors to pay CGT on July 31: NCCPL

July 24, 2024 (MLN): The aggregate amount of CGT arising on the disposal of shares at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) for the period June 01, 2024 to June 30, 2024, would be collected on Wednesday July 31, 2024 through respective settling banks of the Clearing Members.

This was disclosed by the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) through a notice issued on PSX today.

"All Clearing Members are hereby requested to ensure requisite amount in their respective settling bank’s account," the notice reads.

Further, the aggregate amount of CGT arising on the trading of future commodity contracts at the Pakistan Mercantile Exchange for the period February 01, 2024 to June 30, 2024, would also be collected on Wednesday, July 31, 2024

Moreover, the aggregate amount of CGT arising on redemption of units of open-end Collective Investment Scheme funds has also been finalized for the period June 01, 2024 to June 30, 2024.

The necessary details and reports regarding the said securities have already been made available in the CGT System.
