May 19, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 119,689.63, showing an increase of 40.49 points or 0.03%.

The index traded in a range of 1,034.87 points, showing an intraday high of 120,285.54 (+636.40) and a low of 119,250.67 (-398.47) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 119.53 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies, 50 closed up, 49 closed down, while 1 was unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were POML (+10.00%), RMPL (+10.00%), MUGHAL (+6.47%), PKGP (+4.88%), and KTML (+4.74%).

On the other hand, top losers were AGL (-3.21%), PTC (-3.04%), IBFL (-2.96%), MARI (-2.80%), and HCAR (-2.22%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were ENGROH (+223.87pts), PPL (+75.15pts), PSO (+37.93pts), RMPL (+28.62pts), and PKGP (+27.72pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were MARI (-144.28pts), FFC (-63.38pts), LUCK (-62.01pts), UBL (-47.18pts), and SYS (-24.71pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+226.92pts), Textile Composite (+56.18pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+39.70pts), Engineering (+36.84pts), and Power Generation & Distribution (+21.95pts).

While the index was let down by Cement (-144.43pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-59.04pts), Technology & Communication (-58.93pts), Commercial Banks (-58.39pts), and Fertilizer (-57.30pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 74,188.26 with a net loss of 20.99 points or 0.03%.

Total market volume was 425.37 million shares compared to 572.29m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs22.27 billion showing a decrease of Rs6.75bn.

There were 286,725 trades reported in 465 companies with 222 closing up, 199 closing down, and 44 remaining unchanged.
