April 14, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 116,390.03, showing an increase of 1,536.70 points or 1.34%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 116,494.19 (+1,640.86) and a low of 115,246.20 (+392.87) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 273.77 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 64 closed up, 34 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were PSX (+9.04%), UBL (+7.00%), TGL (+6.42%), GADT (+6.08%), and NPL (+5.74%).

On the other hand, top losers were IBFL (-2.42%), MARI (-2.05%), HCAR (-1.35%), FFC (-1.13%), and POML (-1.08%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were UBL (+508.70pts), LUCK (+250.32pts), HUBC (+190.91pts), ENGROH (+143.13pts), and EFERT (+84.73pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were FFC (-112.55pts), MARI (-112.08pts), MCB (-32.58pts), SYS (-25.95pts), and PSO (-23.05pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+668.05pts), Cement (+321.41pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+200.25pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+181.70pts), and Pharmaceuticals (+82.35pts).

While the index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-65.81pts), Fertilizer (-26.89pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-21.00pts), Synthetic & Rayon (-4.50pts), and Tobacco (-2.54pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 72,781.15 with a net gain of 707.46 points or 0.98%.

Total market volume was 484.55 million shares compared to 458.59m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs27.43 billion showing a decrease of Rs4.20bn.

There were 289,871 trades reported in 455 companies with 247 closing up, 145 closing down, and 63 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 37,945 points or 48.37% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 1,263 points or 1.10% so far this calendar year.
