February 12, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Wednesday's trading session at 112,924.93, showing a decrease of 85.45 points or 0.08%.

The index traded in a range of 815.57 points showing an intraday high of 113,436.71 (+426.33) and a low of 112,621.14 (-389.24) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 399.90 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 45 closed up, 52 closed down, while 3 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were PIBTL (-3.99%), EPCL (-2.93%), EFUG (-2.65%), NBP (-2.57%), and AGP (-2.34%).

On the other hand, top gainers were BOP (+9.97%), PTC (+9.22%), PGLC (+4.73%), AKBL (+3.82%), and BNWM (+3.73%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were HBL (-40.19pts), HUBC (-39.48pts), MTL (-37.94pts), BAFL (-37.79pts), and NBP (-32.25pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were PPL (+72.03pts), BOP (+48.45pts), PTC (+40.25pts), AKBL (+22.16pts), and MLCF (+19.13pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks (-69.12pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-36.38pts), Pharmaceuticals (-25.94pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-22.79pts), and Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-22.52pts).

While the index was supported by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+55.01pts), Technology & Communication (+49.14pts), Textile Composite (+12.85pts), Miscellaneous (+10.85pts), and Food & Personal Care Products (+9.89pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 70,074.44 with a net gain of 48.12 points or 0.07%.

Total market volume was 669.60 million shares compared to 486.94m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs27.90 billion showing a decrease of Rs2.48bn.

There were 286,800 trades reported in 440 companies with 171 closing up, 211 closing down, and 58 remaining unchanged.
