May 27, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 118,332.90, showing an increase of 111.78 points or 0.09%.

The index traded in a range of 664.25 points showing an intraday high of 118,807.92 (+586.80) and a low of 118,143.67 (-77.45) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 414.61 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 52 closed up, 46 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were PKGP (+6.77%), EFUG (+5.67%), KTML (+4.44%), JVDC (+4.39%), and SEARL (+3.40%).

On the other hand, top losers were RMPL (-4.38%), POML (-4.25%), BNWM (-3.64%), FHAM (-3.53%), and PSEL (-3.50%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were MEBL (+68.86pts), SYS (+41.55pts), PKGP (+40.61pts), PPL (+36.91pts), and DGKC (+35.52pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were UBL (-134.22pts), HUBC (-37.08pts), PSEL (-29.22pts), ENGROH (-28.35pts), and MCB (-17.89pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Cement (+112.48pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+40.46pts), Technology & Communication (+36.21pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+29.62pts), and Power Generation & Distribution (+19.43pts).

While the index was let down by Commercial Banks (-60.20pts), Automobile Assembler (-38.41pts), Miscellaneous (-25.45pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-22.40pts), and Paper, Board & Packaging (-12.93pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 73,957.69 with a net gain of 115.11 points or 0.16%.

Total market volume was 690.39 million shares compared to 635.54m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs23.83 billion showing an increase of Rs5.25bn.

There were 266,576 trades reported in 459 companies with 211 closing up, 210 closing down, and 38 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 39,888 points or 50.85% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 3,206 points or 2.78% so far this calendar year.
