February 03, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 112,745.01, showing a decrease of 1,510.71 points or 1.32%.

The index traded in a range of 1,939.46 points showing an intraday high of 114,620.79 (+365.07) and a low of 112,681.33 (-1,574.39) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 165.87 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 25 closed up, 70 closed down, while 5 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were PAEL (-4.58%), SHEL (-4.05%), SEARL (-4.01%), MARI (-3.94%), and PTC (-3.54%).

On the other hand, top gainers were SAZEW (+3.83%), HGFA (+2.86%), INIL (+2.80%), POML (+1.76%), and LUCK (+1.58%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were ENGROH (-203.93pts), FFC (-198.74pts), MARI (-181.45pts), SYS (-101.58pts), and PPL (-83.62pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were UBL (+60.48pts), LUCK (+53.08pts), MEBL (+43.20pts), SAZEW (+26.88pts), and INIL (+8.48pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-367.66pts), Fertilizer (-281.83pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-218.12pts), Technology & Communication (-147.96pts), and Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-108.46pts).

While the index was supported by Cement (+36.45pts), Tobacco (+4.95pts), Real Estate Investment Trust (+3.96pts), Property (+3.65pts), and Sugar & Allied Industries (+3.35pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 69,855.92 with a net loss of 748.19 points or 1.06%.

Total market volume was 401.46 million shares compared to 543.12m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs20.35 billion showing a decrease of Rs7.62bn.

There were 255,629 trades reported in 450 companies with 137 closing up, 262 closing down, and 51 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 34,300 points or 43.72% during the fiscal year, whereas it has decreased 2,382 points or 2.07% so far this calendar year.
