PSX: Closing Bell - Index Gains 0.06 Percent to close at 51103.53

Markets remain dormant following the two day frenzy due to excitement over the MSCI inclusion on Monday. The index today grew by 30.39 points, a 0.06% increase.

Major contributors to today’s gain were NESTLE, Sapphire Textile, Atlas Honda, Hino Pak and Pakistan Cables. The top losers were Wyeth Pakistan Ltd., Unilever Pakistan Food Ltd., Pakistan Tobacco and Sanofi – Aventis Pakistan Ltd.

All Share Volume decreased by 35.51 Million to 334.73 Million Shares. Market Cap decreased by Rs.2.13 Billion.

Total companies traded were 375 compared to 404 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 187 closed up, 172 closed down while 16 remained unchanged.

Total trades decreased by 18,557 to 106,022.

Value Traded decreased by 7.20 Billion to Rs.14.92 Billion
