April 29, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 114,872.18, showing an increase of 808.28 points or 0.71%.

The index traded in a range of 2,105.02 points showing an intraday high of 115,040.58 (+976.68) and a low of 112,935.56 (-1,128.34) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 185.49 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 62 closed up, 35 closed down, while 3 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were AKBL (+10.01%), POML (+10.00%), DGKC (+7.53%), SNGP (+6.37%), and ENGROH (+6.08%).

On the other hand, top losers were INIL (-4.44%), PKGP (-3.77%), ILP (-3.39%), BWCL (-3.39%), and ISL (-2.73%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were ENGROH (+303.28pts), MARI (+182.78pts), SYS (+121.89pts), MCB (+80.41pts), and SNGP (+71.31pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were LUCK (-141.56pts), UBL (-74.79pts), PPL (-69.83pts), FFC (-48.10pts), and BWCL (-27.96pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+301.69pts), Commercial Banks (+172.00pts), Technology & Communication (+130.25pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+120.90pts), and Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+90.33pts).

While the index was let down by Cement (-49.54pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-43.50pts), Engineering (-24.22pts), Fertilizer (-20.71pts), and Paper, Board & Packaging (-10.88pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 71,509.46 with a net gain of 346.22 points or 0.49%.

Total market volume was 409.93 million shares compared to 423.94m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs29.07 billion showing an increase of Rs2.61bn.

There were 277,052 trades reported in 444 companies with 211 closing up, 182 closing down, and 51 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 36,427 points or 46.44% during the fiscal year, whereas it has decreased 255 points or 0.22% so far this calendar year.
