PRL, TCF join hands to support quality education

May 21, 2023: Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) has joined hands with The Citizens Foundation (TCF) to support quality education in Pakistan.

PRL's commitment to contribute towards the operational support of a TCF school, the Professor Amanat Ali Campus, for both its morning and afternoon shifts for 10 years is a significant move towards contributing to TCF’s mission to provide quality education to the less privileged.

Pakistan is facing a significant education crisis, and TCF is working to address this challenge by establishing and managing quality educational institutions in lesser privileged areas. PRL's initial contribution of PKR 9.24 million for the 2023-24 academic year will provide crucial support for the education of children in the Korangi community.

Zahid Mir, the Managing Director, and Chief Executive Officer of PRL highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating: "Education is the key to unlocking the potential of Pakistan's future generations, and we are committed to playing our part in this critical endeavor.

By partnering with TCF to support quality education, we can help make a meaningful impact in the lives of children in our nearby communities."

TCF's CEO, Syed Asaad Ayub Ahmad, welcomed PRL's support: "We are grateful for Pakistan Refinery Limited's contribution to our cause of promoting quality education in Pakistan. Through this partnership, we will be able to provide a better learning environment and opportunities for our students, which is critical for their future success".

The financial support provided by PRL will be used for operational expenses for the Professor Amanat Ali Campus in Korangi, near PRL’s Head Office and Plant. This partnership demonstrates PRL's commitment to investing in the communities in which it operates and supporting sustainable development across the country.

TCF's proven track record of establishing and managing quality educational institutions, combined with PRL's commitment to investing in the communities in which it operates, is a powerful combination.
