Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association's Chief Coordinator (PRGMEA) Ijaz A. Khokhar on Friday said that the multi-pronged strategy of Prime Minister Imran Khan could steer the country away from serious economic problems.
He assured that the business community was ready to support the government intended reforms for the betterment of various sectors.
Ijaz said it was heartening that the government has decided to constitute a Business Advisory Council to address the problems and difficulties of the business community on priority basis.
Talking to APP on Friday, he underscored the need for inducting relevant stakeholders in the proposed Business Advisory Council to ascertain that the problems confronted by the business community of the country are brought to the forefront.
PRGMEA Chief Coordinator urged the government to introduce a One Window tax collection system, which he said could help the government collect ten times more revenue.
Ijaz also stressed for special steps to be taken to encourage youth entrepreneurship within the country for providing a boost to the mainstream economy.
He also urged for the end of Saturday's holiday in government departments, banks and other organizations to get one more working day each week.
Ijaz also called for reviewing the policies of the State Bank of Pakistan in favour of the Small and Medium Enterprise sector.
