Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited's commodity Index on Monday closed at 3,338 points, with traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at Rs 5.963 billion.
The number of lots traded was 14,080, said PMEX press release on Tuesday. (Data is compiled and released after 24 hours).
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to Rs 2.859 billion followed by WTI crude oil Rs 1.127 million, currencies through COTS Rs 448.165 million, DJ Rs 416.955 million, silver Rs 396.335 million, NSDQ100 Rs 385.749 million, platinum Rs 149.360 million, natural gas Rs 71.725 million, SP500 Rs 53.523 million, Brent crude oil Rs 39.682 million and copper Rs 15.176 million.
In agricultural commodities, 7 lots of cotton amounting to Rs 3.316 million were traded.
