PMEX Commodity Index inches higher by 17 points

July 29, 2020: On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index inched higher by 17 points to close at 4,735-level. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 17.268 billion and the number of lots traded was 25,049.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 11.310 billion, followed by Silver (PKR 2.773 billion), NSDQ 100 (PKR 979.189 million), Platinum (PKR 900.972 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 781.788 million), Crude Oil (PKR 193.818 million), DJ (PKR 171.319 million), Natural Gas (PKR 104.749 million), SP500 (PKR 35.441 million) and Copper (PKR 16.950 million).

In agriculture commodities, one lot of Wheat amounting to PKR 4.388 million, one lot of Corn amounting to PKR 2.766 million and 5 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 2.548 million were traded.
