PMEX Commodity Index edges lower by 30 points

May 04, 2020: On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index ended the trading session by losing 30 points to settle at 3,637. The traded value of Metals, Energy, and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.841 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,209.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.681 billion, followed by Crude Oil (PKR 593.434 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 466.179 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 398.713 million), Silver (PKR 203.644 million), DJ (PKR 156.063 million), SP500 (PKR 100.309 million), Copper (PKR 95.307 million), Platinum (PKR 91.688 million) and Natural Gas (PKR 55.111 million).  

In agriculture commodities, one lot of Soybean amounting to PKR 6.825 million and 2 lot of Cotton amounting to PKR 0.896 million were traded.
