PMEX Commodity Index drops by 253 points to 3,371-mark

April 22, 2020: On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index lost 253 points and closed at 3,371. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.121 billion and the number of lots traded was 29,049.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 3.068 billion, followed by Crude Oil (PKR 2.213 billion), NSDQ 100 (PKR 593.344 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 446.764 million), Silver (PKR 392.421 million), Natural Gas (PKR 167.602 million), SP500 (PKR 116.329 million), Platinum (PKR 68.157 million), DJ (PKR 44.725 million) and Copper (PKR 9.632 million).

In agriculture commodities, one lot of Wheat amounting to PKR 4.463 million and one lot of Corn amounting to PKR 2.493 million were traded.
