PMEX Commodity Index closes at 4,477 points

July 17, 2020: On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,477 points. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 13.960 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,975.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 9.895 billion, followed by NSDQ 100 (PKR 1,340 billion), Silver (PKR 1.181 billion), Currencies through COTS (PKR 636.034 million), DJ (PKR 364.134 million), Natural Gas (PKR 152.158 million), Platinum (PKR 144.725 million), Crude Oil (PKR 143.568 million), SP500 (PKR 53.947 million) and Copper (PKR 49.467 million).

In agriculture commodities, 10 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 45.389 million and 5 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 2.592 million were traded.
