PMEX Commodity Index closes 74 points higher

July 27, 2020: On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index gained 74 points and closed at 4,699-mark. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 13.171 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,042.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 8.612 billion, followed by NSDQ 100 (PKR 1.747 billion), Silver (PKR 1.029 billion), DJ (PKR 551.863 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 481.747 million), Platinum (PKR 375.954 million), Crude Oil (PKR 219.930 million), Natural Gas (PKR 83.521 million), SP500 (PKR 44.004 million) and Copper (PKR 25.634 million). In agriculture commodities, one lot of Wheat amounting to PKR 4.499 million and 4 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 2.015 million were traded.
