PSX Closing Bell: A Mild Upswing
MG News | September 21, 2026 at 04:03 PM GMT+05:00
September 21, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan’s benchmark KSE-100 Index edged higher on Monday, gaining 268.58 points or 0.16% to close at 171,153.16, as buying in cement, fertilizer and energy stocks helped the market maintain its upward trajectory.
The positive sentiment was supported by a decline in oil prices as traders monitored the pace of Saudi Arabia’s oil shipment recovery following missile and drone attacks by Iran-backed Houthis on Saturday.
Easing concerns over potential supply disruptions provided some relief to investors and supported risk appetite at the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The index remained in positive territory throughout the session, hitting an intraday high of 171,732.62, up 848.04 points, while the low stood at 170,902.75, still 18.17 points above the previous close.
