PM to chair ECC Meeting tomorrow

Economic Committee Meeting is scheduled to be held on 6^th of October. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqqan Abbasi will preside over the meeting.

The meeting is expected to review the margin allocation of Oil Marketing Companies and dealers pertinent to the Petroleum Products.

The Committee will also consider and approve subsidy for Tube well Consumers in the Baluchistan Region for the period of 2018-19.

According to preliminary reports, Prime Minister is expected to extend duration of Reduced Withholding Tax Rate for non-filers up until 31 December 2017.

The Committee will also consider the approval of Government Guarantee worth Rs. 39 Billion to construct Coal Power Projects. The approval is expected to be given to two 660 MW Coal Power Projects in Jamshoro.

Furthermore, the meeting will highlight and discuss tax issues of the Power Sector.
