PM emphasizes to make subsidy system organized

September 3, 2020: Prime Minister Imran Khan says the first priority of the government is to make the subsidy system organized and efficient so that assistance provided from public exchequer not only reaches the deserving but also achieves the desired results. 

He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad today (Wednesday) regarding making the government subsidy system more efficient and organized.

The Prime Minister directed to make every possible effort for improving the subsidy system so that decisions can be taken and implemented in the best interest of people.

The Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing about direct or indirect subsidies given to various sectors, expenditure on these subsidies, loopholes in the existing system of subsidies, and progress made so far by the think-tank formed regarding further strengthening the subsidy system.
