PLL secures record low LNG price

July 28, 2020 (MLN): Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) has secured the record low price for liquefied natural gas (LNG) import through spot contracts in response to bids for LNG cargoes.

Four companies that offered attractive prices are Socar, Gunvor, Petro China, and Trafigura.

Among four, Socar, the lowest bidder, has quoted a remarkable rate of 5.7395% of Brent(approx. USD 2.2/mmbtu) for the cargo which will be delivered on Aug 27-28, 2020.

Gunvor offered a price of 7.8421% of Brent, Petro China with 8.3500% whereas Trafigura quoted a 10.3811% of Brent.
