PKR trades 17 paisa higher against USD

May 08, 2019 (MLN): Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by 17 paisa against US Dollar (USD) at today's interbank session as the currency closed the day's trade at PKR 141.12 per USD, against previous session's closing of PKR 141.29 per USD.

Meanwhile, the currency gained 1.2 rupees against Pound Sterling as the day's closing quote stood at PKR 184.07 per GBP, while the previous session closed at PKR 185.24 per GBP.

Similarly, PKR's value strengthened by 9 paisa against EUR which closed at PKR 158.03 at the interbank today.

Within the Open Market, PKR was traded at 140.60/142.00 per USD.

The overnight repo rate towards close of the session was 11.20/11.25 percent, whereas the 1 week rate was 10.70/10.85 percent.
