PKR opens the day 35 paisa stronger

August 8, 2019 (MLN): In a fortunate turn of events this morning, the Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated to 157.85/157.95 per US Dollar (USD) against yesterday’s closing quote of PKR 158.25 per USD.

The dollar’s slip below PKR 158 was last observed on July 10, 2019. The local currency’s current appreciative streak is on its 9^th day and during this period, it has gained Rs.2.2 of 1.38% against dollar.

PKR is currently being quoted at 157.9/158 per dollar (10:15 am, PST).
