June 19, 2020 (MLN): The dollar continued its momentum against the Pak Rupee as the local currency weakened by a further 60 paisa (0.37%) compared to yesterdays close of 166.35.
The Dollar was being quoted as high as 167.00/167.30 with trades being reported at similar rates, however it has decreased to below 167 level since then.
Traders cited year end payments by corporates as the main driving force behind the increasing demand for dollars.
PKR’s all time low against the dollar was 167.8975 on April 07, 2020.
