PKR appreciates by 18 paisa at interbank trade

November 09, 2020 (MLN): Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by 18 paisa against US Dollar (USD) in today's interbank session as the currency closed the day's trade at PKR 158.91 per USD, against last session's closing of PKR 159.09 per USD.

The rupee traded within a very narrow range of 9 paisa per USD showing an intraday high bid of 158.95 and an intraday Low offer of 158.88.

Within the Open Market, PKR was traded at 158.50/159.50 per USD.

Alternatively, the currency lost 3 paisa to the Pound Sterling as the day's closing quote stood at PKR 209.03 per GBP, while the previous session closed at PKR 209 per GBP.

Similarly, PKR's value weakened by 26 paisa against EUR which closed at PKR 188.71 at the interbank today.

On another note, within the money market, the overnight repo rate towards close of the session was 6.40/6.70 percent, whereas the 1 week rate was 6.85/6.95 percent.
