PIBT seeks loan repayment deferral from foreign lenders

June 15, 2023 (MLN): Pakistan International Bulk Terminal Limited (PSX: PIBTL) has requested the Foreign Financiers, International Finance Corporation (IFC), and OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) to defer the repayment of the principal installment of its foreign loan due on June 15, 2023, the company's filing on PSX revealed today.

IFC and OFID are principally amenable to this re-profiling and are in the process of formalizing this arrangement.

The company, however, will continue to make the interest payment in accordance with the terms of its foreign financing agreements.

Furthermore, the company continues to fulfill its obligations under the Local financing arrangements.
