December 20, 2019 (MLN): Pakistan International Airlines via notification to Pakistan Stock Exchange, has informed that the news item published in a media blog, was never reported by PIACL or any of its representative, to any institution.
PIACL pointed out that the reported figures of financial results of the first half of 2019 in the said blog have not been attributed to any source, be it official or unofficial.
Furthermore, PIACL has planned to move with speed to finalize the accounts for the year 2019 as per direction SECP. The annual general Meeting 2018 is scheduled to be held on 21st December 2019. The agenda item of the meeting are as follows:
To obtain the shareholders’ approval for the appointment of auditors for the Audit 2019.
To appoint External Auditors for FY2019. After their appointment in AGM2018, the auditors will start their Audit activity pertaining to FY2019.
PIACL assures that such an exercise was not carried out or none of its representatives is authorized to issue such details to the public.
