PCMA for implementing law for workers profit participation fund

The Pakistan Chemical Manufacturers Association (PCMA) demanded the Punjab government to take action on implementation of a provincial law regarding workers profit participation fund (WPPF) for welfare of industrial workers in the province.

Zafar Mahmood, the senior vice chairman of the PCMA, in a statement here on Thursday, said that the Punjab Chief Minister had bagged a lot of liking across the country for his exemplary development initiatives and good governance in the province.

He said that the WPPF law, if implemented in the province, would prove to be another feather in the chief minister's cap.

Zafar Mahmood elaborated that initially the WPPF was placed under legislative ambit of the federal government but after approval of the 18th amendment, the fund was transferred to the provincial governments – APP
