Pakistan's OMC sales rise 5% MoM in May 2025, up 10% YoY

June 03, 2025 (MLN): The sales volume of oil marketing companies (OMCs) in Pakistan saw a significant increase of 5% month-on-month (MoM) in May 2025, reaching a total of 1.53 million tons, while the year-on-year (YoY) growth stood at 10%.

For the 11MFY25, OMC sales totaled 14.75 million tons, marking a 7% YoY increase.

Product-wise Performance

Motor Spirit (MS) sales stood at 0.70m tons, showing a 15% YoY increase and a 6% MoM rise from April 2025.

High-Speed Diesel (HSD) sales reached 0.67m tons, reflecting a 10% YoY growth and an 8% MoM increase.

Furnace Oil (FO) sales came in at 0.08m tons, registering a 16% YoY surge.

In 11MFY25, the volumetric sales for MS, HSD, and FO stood at 6.87m tons, 6.27m tons, and 0.68m tons, respectively.

Company-wise Breakdown

Pakistan State Oil (PSO) remained the market leader with total sales of 0.64m tons in May 2025, with MS and HSD offtake at 0.28m tons and 0.30m tons, respectively.

Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) reported total sales of 0.14m tons. The company’s MS sales were 0.06m tons, HSD sales 0.06m tons, and FO sales 0.01m tons.

Wafi Energy (WAFI) posted sales of 0.12m tons, with MS at 0.07m tons and HSD at 0.05m tons.

Hascol Petroleum Limited (HASCOL) achieved total sales of 0.05m tons, with MS dispatches of 0.03m tons and HSD at 0.02m tons.
