Pakistan’s KSE – 100 Index gains 175 points

KSE 100 index today surged after a rebound in global equities opened the day on a positive tone following volatile an extremely volatile week. In the KSE stocks, MFL p by +5.00% today hit the upper lock as it commenced trading on the KSE 100 index.

Financials remained in the limelight as HBL +3.29%, UBL +2.32% led the growth coupled with ENGRO +1.08%, PIBTL +5.67%, BAFL +2.73%, PPL +0.75%, and FFC +1.15% topped the list of gainers during the day, contributing 214.95 points together.

Sector-wise all share index turnover was led by Chemical (41.717 million), Technology & Communication (22.087 million), and Cement (16.143 million) with Textile Spinning (5.928 million) and Power Generation and Distribution (5.851 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.

KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of +175.28 points up by 0.40%, closing in at 43690.36 points with index high-low range of 43878.33 – 43515.08.

KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 203.545 million shares, value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 7.559 billion.

The index moved in the range of 353.25 points.
