Pakistan’s July-Nov FY20 Current Account Deficit shrinks by 73 percent

December 19, 2019 (MLN): Pakistan’s Current Account Deficit for the month of November 2019 stood at USD 319 million showing a decline of 72.64 percent when compared to USD 1.166 billion from last year.

According to data published by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the CAD for the 5 months of FY20 stood at USD 1.821 billion compared to a deficit of USD 6.733 billion from the corresponding period last year.

However, it should be noted that Pakistan had posted a surplus of USD 70 Million in October 2019 (Figure revised down by SBP from USD 98.50 Million).
