Pakistani missions abroad to be digitized on PM’s orders

February 19, 2025 (MLN): To facilitate the provision of services to overseas Pakistanis, the Prime Minister has directed the digitization of the entire system in Pakistani missions abroad.

Chairing a meeting of the Federal Cabinet in Islamabad, he instructed the complete implementation of e-office in all federal government ministries and departments by the 20th of the next month.

The cabinet was briefed that the use of e-office in all divisions of the federal government has reached 98%.

It was further informed that 100% enforcement of e-office has been ensured in 39 divisions, as per the press release.

Implementation of e-office has also started in allied and government departments of the federal ministries, with the task completed in 176 institutions.

The Prime Minister informed the cabinet about a letter from the Saudi Crown Prince, stating that the Saudi Development Fund will continue providing $100 million per month to Pakistan for another year on a deferred payment basis for petroleum products.

He expressed gratitude to the Saudi King and the Crown Prince for their support, acknowledging that Saudi Arabia has always stood by Pakistan in challenging times.
