Pakistan urges FATF committee to remove the Indian co-chairman: Asad Umar

March 11, 2019 (MLN): Minister for Finance and Revenue, Asad Umar informed the local media that India wants the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to place Pakistan in its black list.
During his address to the media, he pointed out that India is violating FATF’s regulations by pushing each company to act against Pakistan.
He expressed further disappointment over reports that India has given a separate report on Pakistan to FATF.
In response to this, Pakistan has urged the FATF committee to remove the co-chairman belonging to India and appoint another country as co-chair of the Joint Group, to ensure that FATF review process is fair, unbiased and objective, he updated.
