Pakistan stock market enters strongest season

October 06, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan stock market may extend its rally further as it enters its best period of the year, historical seasonal trends suggest.

Stocks tend to perform well towards the end of the year—with October-December quarter logging the biggest average gains for KSE-100 Index.

Data going back to 1992 show the KSE-100 has climbed an average 6.6% from October through year-end, according to MG Research calculations.

That gain is 8.1% and 13.5% on average in the past 10- and 5-years, respectively, the data shows.

To note, KSE-100 is up 21,081 points or 33.8% so far this year.
