Pakistan Stock Exchange rises 7.5 points; ends the day relatively unmoved

KSE – 100 was relatively unmoved today after losing more than 1500 points during the last three days. Country is currently going through a phase of political uncertainty as the constitutional amendments draws irk from almost all parts of the society, index performance was rather lackluster during the day. The negativity has taken its toll on the markets since June, 2017.

Fertilizer was top performing sector during the day, with EFERT +1.33% and FFBL +2.97% all ending positive during the day. Closely behind Fertilizer were Textile (Composite) Stocks, with NCL moving up by +2.08% and NML up by +3.21%.

On the contrary, Oil & Gas Exploration Cos. were the worst performers after SSGC and SNGP closed the session down by -3.80% and -3.42% respectively.

KSE-100 Index at the day end moved a total of +7.49 points up by 0.02%, closing at 40468.49 points. Index Volume was 83.035 million shares, value of shares traded was PKR 7.11 billion with index low-high range of 40036.23 – 40819.44.

Hum Networks Ltd. reported profits worth Rs. 1.01 billion, with earnings per share of Rs. 1.07. The company’s Revenue went up by 18% to reach Rs. 4.6 billion for the reported period. The company also declared dividend at the rate of 10% of Rs. 0.10/- per share.

43 companies closed up, whereas 46 were down at the day end.
