Pakistan Receives USD 1.79 Billion Remittances in May 2016

According to figures released by the central Bank, Pakistan received USD 1,799.39 Million in worker remittances during the month of May 2016, compared to USD 1,656.85 (+142.54m or 8.6%) Million in April and USD 1,663.32 (+136.07m or 8.18%) Million in May 2015.

From July 2015 to May 2016 Remittances amounted to USD 17,841.63m compared to USD 16,898.32m (+943.31m or 5.58%) from the corresponding period FY14-15.

PKR closed Friday’s trading session at 104.22/24 gaining 18 Paisa. During the week it appreciated by 40 Paisa.
