Pakistan Railways assures no fuel shortages amid train operations

September 12, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan Railways has categorically stated that there is no shortage of fuel for train operations as there is an agreement with Pakistan State Oil regarding the provision of fuel, the Information Ministry reported.

Pakistan Railways spokesperson said that Pakistan State Oil is responsible for the uninterrupted supply of fuel to railways.

He further said that the Lahore and Karachi depots contain one month's fuel deposits, fulfilling around sixty-two percent of Railways' needs.

Moreover, other Railway divisions also have ample quantity of fuel.

The Spokesperson clarified that Pakistan Railways has budget and fuel both.
