He said, “Some documents are required from the vendor as proof of their business and their physical presence after which they can continue the online business.”

Explaining the sale process, he said that after the integration and successful sale, Pakistan Post provides pick up service of the products on twelve points while on other points vender has to drop the sold product physically.

“Pakistan Post delivers the article using existing Urgent Mail Service (UMS) which has twenty four hours standard delivery time”, he added.

The official said, “Post office makes three attempts to ship the product and to collect the cash from the customer. After successful delivery and cash collection, the amount is sent to the vendor using service of Pay Order”.

The source said that the online payment system would also be included on the portal and for this a private company was interested in partnership to provide digital payments system and after which QR Code Scan Pay would be part of services making the e-commerce more productive.
