Pakistan Mercantile Exchange index closes at 3,702 points

February 26, 2019: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited's commodity index on Monday closed at 3,702 points, with traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at Rs 8.001 billion. Moreover, the number of lots traded was 10,028.

The major business was contributed by gold amounting to Rs 2.721 billion followed by currencies through COTS (PKR 1.734 billion), WTI crude oil Rs 1.363 billion, NSDQ100 Rs 1.113 billion, DJ Rs 297.468 million, platinum Rs 242.864 million, silver Rs 198.238 million, Palladium Rs 103.411 million, natural gas Rs 78.746 million, Brent crude oil Rs 64.319 million, copper Rs 51.999 million and SP500 Rs 32.240 million.

In agriculture commodities, 7 lots of wheat amounting at Rs 23.028 million and 12 lots of cotton valued at Rs. 15.242 million were traded.
