Pakistan, Iran set to sign MoU on livestock & plant protection

April 06, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan and Iran are expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on livestock quarantine and plant protection, the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri-Moghaddam stated during a meeting with Minister for Industries and Production and Food Security Rana Tanveer.

This MoU would mark a significant move to strengthen the bilateral and trade ties between both economies as Iran has expressed interest in further importing meat, rice and other agricultural products from Pakistan.

The Iranian Ambassador said they want to promote close cooperation with Pakistan in all the areas.

 In his remarks, the Minister for Industries and Production said Pakistan and Iran enjoy strong relations and both countries can work on industrial cooperation.
