Pakistan eyes stronger trade, investment ties with US in Pharmaceuticals, IT

December 10, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh on Monday emphasized the potential for enhanced bilateral cooperation in pharmaceuticals and IT during separate meetings with American lawmakers, according to the press release issued by the Embassy.

In a meeting with Congressman Tom Kean of New Jersey, Ambassador Sheikh pointed out New Jersey’s robust pharmaceutical and IT industries as key areas for deeper engagement.

The two leaders also discussed promoting regional security and exploring mutual interests to solidify Pak-US relations.

Meanwhile, in talks with Congressman Kevin Kiley of California, the focus shifted to leveraging California’s expertise in IT and agriculture.

Both sides expressed interest in fostering trade and investment linkages to build a prosperous future together.
