Pakistan exports to USA rise 19% in Oct

November 18, 2024 (MLN): The U. S. A. remained the top export destination for Pakistan during October, with $575.89 million worth of shipments, up by 18.5% against the exports of $485.79m in same period last year.
According to the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, this was followed by China, as Pakistan exported goods worth $254.39m to the country as compared to the exports of $318.74m recorded during the same month of the previous year, depicting a deline of 20.2%.
U. K. was the third on the list as Pakistan generated export revenue worth $198.63m from the country. This figure was up by 15.9% from the exports of $171.43m in the same period last year.
U. A. E. Dubai was the fourth in line as exports to the region during the aforementioned period were $153.78m, depicting an increase of 9.7% YoY.
Among other countries, Pakistan's exports to the Germany stood at $151.51m, marking a rise of 23.5% YoY, while exports to Netherlands (Holland) increased by 15% YoY to $133.53m.
Moreover, the export receipts received from Spain stood at $124.08m, down by 17% YoY.
While on a sequential basis, the total exports to U. S. A. increased by 12.6% MoM. While exports to China increased by 8% MoM.
Moreover, receipts received from exports to U. K. depicted an increase of 1.1% MoM.
Meanwhile, cumulatively, in 4MFY25, U. S. A. was the top source of export receipts, worth $2.04bn as against the total exports worth $1.86bn in 4MFY24.
Whereas, total exports to China in 4MFY25 stood at $813.44m, registering a decline of -14.6%.
Cumulatively, U. K. ranked as the third-largest contributor to the country's export earnings, accounting for exports valued at $761.39m in 4MFY25, compared to $690.58m in the same period last year
