Pakistan exports to USA rise 16% in Sep

October 21, 2024 (MLN): The U.S.A. remained Pakistan's top export destination in September 2024, with shipments totaling $511.53 million—a 15.8% increase compared to $441.57m during the same period last year.

On a month-on-month basis, exports to the U.S. grew by 8%.

Cumulatively, for the first three months of FY25, the U.S.A. accounted for $1.46 billion in export receipts, up from $1.38bn in 3MFY23.

According to the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, this was followed by China, as Pakistan exported goods worth $235.62m to the country in September as compared to the exports of $283.16m recorded during the same month of the previous year, depicting a decline of 16.8%.

On a month-on-month basis, exports to China increased by 44.3%. In 3MFY25, exports to China were valued at $559.05m, compared to $633.64m in the same period last year.

U. K. was the third on the list as Pakistan generated export revenue worth $196.38m from the country. This figure was up by 17% from the exports of $167.87m in the same period last year.

Comapred to last month, receipts received from exports to U. K. depicted an increase of 7.3%. 

Whereas, total exports to U. K. in 3MFY25 stood at $562.75m, registering an increase of 8.4%.

U. A. E. Dubai was the fourth in line as exports to the region during the aforementioned period were $145.6m, depicting an increase of 8.7%.

Among other countries, Pakistan's exports to Germany stood at $140.47m, marking a rise of 26.2% YoY, while exports to Spain decreased by 1.5% YoY to $122.86m.

Moreover, the export receipts received from Netherlands (Holland) stood at $120.45m, up by 14.3% YoY.
