March 16, 2023 (MLN): An agreement with 16 countries was in the final stages, which would provide employment opportunities for thousands of Pakistani youth in foreign states, the Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Sajid Hussain Turi said on Wednesday while addressing a cheque distribution ceremony organized by the Workers Welfare Board.

He stated that over 0.6 million youths have already been employed abroad, and he hoped that with this new agreement, more young people could find work overseas, as reported by APP.

During the event, Turi discussed his efforts to address workers' issues since assuming his ministerial position. He mentioned that he had been visiting provinces to listen to workers' problems and find solutions. He also noted that 1,265 schools were currently working in Pakistan under the auspices of the Workers Welfare Board, providing education to both the children of miners and workers and more than 62,000 private students.

To further support young people, Turi announced that vocational institutes would be opened in the province to train Balochistan's youth in various skills, making them more employable abroad.

He emphasized that Pakistan's youth make up 65% of the population and that their skills must be utilized to develop the country.
