Oil Tankers to go on Strike from August 21

Oil tankers association has again called a strike from August 21, halting oil supplies across the country as they rejected the ruling of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority and National Highway Authority.

A series of meeting scheduled by the government and oil tankers association officials in Islamabad. The Authorities wanted all oil tankers would be upgraded increasing the axel and other specifications required to run oil tankers.

The Oil Tankers Association officials were of the view that in short period it is not possible and five years would be granted to upgrade all the tankers.

Resultantly talks ended without conclusion and oil tankers have called strike till such time their demands are not met.
