Oil sales rise 3% to 1.28m MTs in Dec

January 02, 2025 (MLN): The sales of oil marketing companies (OMCs) increased by 3.2% to 1.28 million Metric Tons (MTs) in December 2024 compared to 1.24m MTs in December 2023, data released by Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC) showed.

On the other hand, on a month-on-month basis, oil sales fell 19.1% compared to the sale of 1.58m MTs in November 2024.

Cumulatively in the ongoing fiscal year (6MFY25), sales stood at 8.03m MTs, up 4.5% against the sales of 7.68m MTs in the same period of last year.

Product-Wise

Product-wise, the sales of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) jumped by 11.9% YoY to stand at 0.57m MTs, respectively.

Meanwhile, the sale of Motor Spirit (MS), Furnace Oil (FO) decreased by 1%, 47.6% YoY and stood at 0.57m, 41,486 MTs.

On a month-on-month basis, the sales of FO have increased by 11.9% respectively.
