January 15, 2025 (MLN): Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (PSX: OGDC) has successfully disclosed that the Kharo-1 well has been brought into production.
The Kharo-1 well is currently producing 20 barrels of oil per day (BPD) and 5 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas, the notification issued to the local bourse.
The well has been connected to the OGDCL Sinjhoro Processing Plant through the installation of a 6-inch, 12.5 km flow line running from the well site to the Chabaro merging point.
The gas produced is now seamlessly integrated into the SSGC network.
OGDCL operates the Khewari Block with a 95% working interest.
The remaining 5% is owned by Government Holding Private Limited (GHPL).
The Kharo-1 well is situated in the Khairpur District of Sindh province.
This achievement underscores OGDCL's consistent dedication to high operational standards.
It also emphasizes the company's important role in enhancing Pakistan's energy sector, further solidifying its leadership in the hydrocarbon industry.
